Frequently Asked Questions

WWE signed an agreement with Panini toward the end of 2021 to make it the sole manufacturer of WWE trading cards, beginning with its 2022 WWE Prizm set. This deal is set to last for several years.

Panini also acquired the exclusive license to manufacture UFC cards in 2021. As such, UFC sets released from 2022 onward should carry the Panini branding. Previously, UFC cards were made by Topps, as were WWE cards.

It’s also worth keeping an eye on All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and its new batches of trading cards. These cards are made by Upper Deck and may become valuable in the future, especially if AEW continues to grow in popularity.

Grading requires an exceptional eye for detail so it’s not recommended that you attempt to grade your own cards. In addition to making it more likely that you’ll miss key details, grading your own cards does not offer the authenticity that grading through an organization, like PSA, does. Buyers will be unlikely to take your word for it when it comes to the condition of your card.

For buyers, always ask for high-quality scans of the front and back of any cards graded by amateurs. Often, the light used to make these scans reveals imperfections that may not show up in photos.

The answer depends on what you want from your collection.

Assuming you’re buying UFC or wrestling cards as an investment, start your search with the top names in both industries. Any cards that feature relics or autographs of popular fighters and wrestlers will typically be worth more money. The same goes for limited edition runs that have serial numbers.

If you’re willing to speculate on the future, rookie cards are an excellent choice. This is particularly the case for UFC cards, where unknown fighters can explode in popularity based on their media presence or by obtaining exciting victories.
